End of Sale Announcement: OM5P [4/11/2016]

Today, April 11, 2016, Open-Mesh Inc. is announcing the OM5P has reached End of Sale status.

The OM5P is not certified to meet the new FCC requirements which come into effect for WiFi devices sold after June 1, 2016. It can be used indefinitely, but can not be sold in the US by manufacturers, distributors or resellers after June 1, 2016.

The last date of sale from Open Mesh in the US will be May 15, 2016.

Customers evaluating the OM5P should consider the OM5P-AC. The OM5P-AC includes a number of upgrades, including dual band radios and 802.11ac support, 802.3af PoE and dual Gigabit Ethernet ports.

Will the OM5P's continue to be supported by the cloudtrax portal and mgmt tools after June 1st 2016? ..and if so, might they someday be "decommissioned" from the cloudtrax portal?

    Hi Bryan,

How long OM5P will be supported by the cloudtrax? Will they continue to received firmware updates? I live in Canada and I'm very interested in those APs to integrate my 2GHz solution.

Moreover, do they still have 1 year warranty? Thanks.

The OM5P will continue to be supported in Cloudtrax for many years to come. For reference, we still support the OM1P on legacy firmware in Cloudtrax 9 years after its introduction. However, Canada has the same 5GHz restrictions as the US so we are not able to sell the OM5P in the US or Canada.
