CloudTrax 4.6.1:
March 16, 2016

  • NEW: In rare occasions, nodes sometimes stop checking into CloudTrax and show up as offline but are still reachable and, once reboot from within CloudTrax, start sending data again. To indicate if a node is in such a state we’ve added a new state - “Status: This access point is online but not checking in. Please reboot.”
  • NEW: The Export All Nodes: CSV option in the Networks View page now includes HW model and FW version.
  • NEW: Added notification for when you open CloudTrax in multiple tabs of the same browser and change networks in one of them, so that you don’t accidentally update settings on the wrong network.

CloudTrax 4.6:

  • NEW: Ability to export Layer 7 Applications List in CSV and XML format.
  • NEW: The “Display Name” field has been moved from the Configure > Display page to the individual SSID configuration pages, under the Splash Page configuration settings. The text entered in this field will be used in place of the $gateway_name variable in the splash page. If left empty, the SSID name will be used instead.
  • NEW: Support for up to 100 characters in Network Names (increased from 30).
  • NEW: Added LAN IP address to the MAC/ IP column in the Access Points list table, to distinguish it from the Mesh IP address.
  • NEW: The Nearest Gateway column in the Access Points list table, has been moved next to the MAC/IP column and will now display, either:
    • The WAN IP of the external gateway device (Gateway mode), or;
    • The Mesh Gateway name (Repeater mode)
  • NEW: Support for SSIDs 3 and 4 in the iOS and Android CloudTrax apps.
  • FIX: Numerous bug fixes, performance and usability improvements, including:
    • 5GHz radio selection option is hidden if the network only has 2.4GHz APs (OM2Ps).
    • (Google Chrome only) Opening a different tab and switching to a different network under the same master account, will generate a warning/ notification in the first tab.

CloudTrax 4.5.1:

Today's changes ensure networks are in compliance with new FCC regulations.

  • NEW: Country code is assigned automatically for new networks. The country code will default to US and then set the correct country based on first check in.
  • NEW: Country code is assigned automatically for existing networks where a new model (OM5P-AC, etc.) is used. The country code will be set based on IP address during check in.
  • FIX: Numerous bug fixes, performance and usability improvements

For existing networks without OM5P-AC access points, country code will continue to be manually selectable.

Upgrading legacy networks to CloudTrax 4:

Legacy networks can be upgraded to CloudTrax 4 using through the CloudTrax 3 interface. To upgrade, ensure your network is running 5xx firmware or later. Then opt in to CloudTrax 4 under Edit Network > Advanced. 

If your network is already on CloudTrax 4 there is nothing you need to do: releases are rolled out automatically.
